JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Updated)

Assume culinary duties during the shift
Engage in proactive measures to assist the Executive Chef
Supervises, trains, and monitors culinary staff  
Directs and assigns employees as needed to ensure all aspects of service meet operational standards  
Oversee culinary operations in absence of the Executive Chef
Performs department opening and/or closing duties
Reinforces a customer service mentality and ensures all employees are focused on serving the customer at all times  
Immediately and respectfully resolves culinary guest requests  
Perform various other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum of High School education  
Minimum of two (2) years in restaurant/culinary experience leading shifts
Alcohol awareness certification preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to communicate effectively verbally  
Team player  
Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members  
Ability to multi-task 
Ability to work flexible hours and shifts 
Knowledge of local alcohol serving practices and standards 
Knowledge of federal and state labor laws as well as local health and sanitation laws and regulations
