Position Summary:
The Fleet Manager is responsible for determining and executing the most cost-effective method of providing transportation to support the Agency mission and determine optimal vehicle replacement cycles. This position will oversee a fleet of approximately 50 vehicles/equipment and manage team member(s) who are responsible for the day-to-day operations, inspections, and preventive maintenance of AH owned and leased vehicles.Â
​​Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-  ​ Oversee life-cycle management (cradle to grave) of the organization’s motor vehicle assets.Â
- Required to develop vehicle specifications, soliciting estimates, evaluating bids, and implementing open-market procurements for supplies and services. The latter may include maintenance and repair of the fleet vehicles.Â
- Develop and monitor a preventive maintenance program to ensure vehicles maintain acceptable in-service status. Identify trends in repairs, maintenance, and accidents, to control maintenance costsÂ
- Consolidate, monitor, and manage fuel usage data to ensure maximum cost-effective utilization is achieved across all businesses.Â
- Collaborate with the Risk Management team to investigate and examine vehicle accidents and warranty claims to identify trends and implement measures to reduce and prevent future reoccurrences.Â
- Implement a training program to ensure end-users have an adequate understanding of AH motor vehicle policies, procedures, and expectations.  Â
- Oversee processes related to gas card distribution, gas cards pin resetting, advances, maintenance coordination, performance briefing to the supervisor, dissemination of fleet utilization and other various issues/concerns.Â
- Oversee annually validation process of AH employee’s driving records to operate vehicles in the fleet.Â
Education / Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree is requiredÂ
- 7-10 years’ work experience with at least 5 years of supervisory experience.Â
- Must have product acquisition and vehicle program management experienceÂ
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
- Â Advanced technical/computer skills with the ability to use several programs simultaneouslyÂ
- Attention to detail and accuracyÂ
- Strong work ethic with a professional, positive attitudeÂ
Working Conditions:
Works in an office environment. May require frequent bending, stooping, reaching and prolonged sitting and/or standing. Frequent local travel which necessitates a valid State of Georgia driver’s license and be fully insurable for the purpose of obtaining clearance on company “Authorized Drivers List.”  AH Authorized Driver or Assigned Vehicle. Â
