Float Medical Assistant

Our Float Medical Assistants rotate every 13 weeks among outpatient practices within a 30-mile radius of Northside Atlanta in Sandy Springs. This Monday–Friday role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, adaptability, and expanding their clinical experience across multiple specialties.

In this position, you’ll gain exposure to diverse teams, workflows, and patient populations while remaining part of the Northside family. It’s a unique opportunity to build a broad skill set, grow professionally, and enjoy the excitement of working in different practice environments.

Provides nursing assistance and patient care to provide for the comfort, safety and personal needs of patients.  Floats to various offices as assigned to assist physicians/physician assistants/nurse practitioners in medical office setting.  Performs a variety of patient care duties within the construct of a multidisciplinary patient care team as delegated by physician.  Specific duties and responsibilities assigned to the individual will be determined by the supervising physician(s), clinical staff and Practice Coordinator after competency is established.

REQUIRED

1. One (1) year of healthcare experience as a Medical Assistant.
2. Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
3. Visual color acuity screening depending on the role in specific units.

PREFERRED

1. Graduate of Medical Assistant program or Graduate of a U.S. Military Medic course.
