Job DetailsJob Location: Atlantic City WIC S60 - Atlantic City, NJ 08401Position Type: Full TimeSalary Range: $18.00 - $18.00 HourlyTravel Percentage: Up to 25%Job Title: Breastfeeding Peer Counselor/WIC Clerk (PC)   Supervisor: Program Nutritionist and IBCLC   Job Functions: WIC Clerk/PC will be responsible for providing women with basic breastfeeding information, benefits of breastfeeding, overcoming common barriers and handling common breastfeeding issues.  Conduct prenatal and postpartum breastfeeding support classes via group or individual contacts, telephone, or hospital visits. Make routine periodic contacts with all clients assigned to their caseload. Job training will be  provided to strengthen information and communication skills in order to better support and engage with clients. This position will also be responsible for determining participants’ program eligibility, health screenings (blood work and anthropometrics).  Need to have computer proficiency to be able to work on virtual platforms like eWIC, Teletask and Anydesk, answer phone calls, schedule appointments. Travel within Gateway CAP service area is required. Other duties as assigned by supervisor/program manager.   Education requirements:  A High School Diploma or GED and a Valid Driver’s license; travel is required. One-year experience with administrative duties and must be computer literate. Have excellent customer service skills; be reliable and able to work with children and be comfortable working in a high paced environment.  Ability to work independently, bilingual (Spanish, Creole or Vietnamese speaking) is highly desirable.     Other Requirements: Exclusive breastfeeding experience of at least six months and completion of NJ WIC Services breastfeeding Peer Counselor training  Qualifications
