Job Details: Job Location: Legal Address - ATOKA, OK, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Atoka County Medical Center is seeking a dependable and customer-focused Registration Clerk to join our team. This position is often the first point of contact for patients and plays an important role in creating a welcoming, professional experience.Responsibilities: Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information Obtain required signatures and accurately enter information into the computer system Collect copayments and other patient payments, as applicable Answer telephone calls and direct patients and visitors appropriately Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements Communicate effectively with patients, clinical staff, and other departments Perform other registration and clerical duties as assignedQualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required Previous healthcare registration, medical office, or customer service experience preferred Strong computer, telephone, and data-entry skills Excellent communication and customer-service skills Ability to remain professional in a busy healthcare environment Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately Dependable attendance and the ability to work assigned shifts are requiredAtoka County Medical Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
