Under the direct supervision of The Materials Technician/Driver role operates under the supervision of the Supply Chain Distribution Manager and the Storeroom Leads, and within established Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures, the Materials Technician - Driver operates assigned vehicles for scheduled and unscheduled pickups and deliveries of various medical and non-medical supplies, equipment, and materials. This role also supports daily operations by performing a variety of clerical and materials handling duties to support efficient supply chain operations.Education/Training:
High School diploma or equivalent required.

Licenses/Certification:
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Valid Massachusetts or Rhode Island driver鈥檚 license required.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Must maintain a clean driving record in accordance with hospital policy.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Previous experience in a healthcare distribution center or general materials handling role preferred but not required.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Familiarity with inventory control systems and delivery documentation processes is desirable.

Essential Job Functions:
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Operate assigned hospital vehicles safely and responsibly for pickups and deliveries.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Transport medical and non鈥憁edical supplies, equipment, specimens, documents, and materials between hospital departments, and off鈥憇ite locations.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Verify delivery accuracy by checking items against requisitions, packing slips, or electronic documentation.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Load and unload vehicles using proper lifting techniques and material鈥慼andling equipment.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Maintain mileage records and required documentation in accordance with hospital policies.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ensure timely delivery of supplies while providing courteous, customer鈥慺ocused service.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist with receiving, staging, and storing materials within the Distribution Center when not driving.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Support inventory control activities, including scanning, stocking, and replenishing supply areas.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Follow all hospital safety, and regulatory guidelines during transport and materials handling.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance delivery efficiency and supply chain operations.
路聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Perform other related duties as assigned to support Distribution and Supply Chain operations.

Salary Range Details
The pay range displayed on each job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate鈥檚 actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate鈥檚 work history, experience, skill set, and education. This is not inclusive of the value Sturdy Health鈥檚 benefits package (if applicable), which includes among other benefits, healthcare/dental/vision and retirement. For annual salaries this is based on full-time employment.
