ERP Data Migration Specialist

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an ERP Data Migration Specialist to support a large-scale, multi-phase ERP implementation centered on Microsoft Dynamics 365. This is a hands-on technical role focused on extracting, analyzing, cleansing, normalizing, transforming, and validating data from multiple legacy ERP systems for migration into the new platform.

The ideal candidate has hands-on ERP data migration experience, strong ETL and data analysis skills, experience working with SQL, and enjoys working directly with large, complex datasets. This individual will work with the ERP project team, functional leads, implementation partners, and business SMEs to understand legacy data, develop transformation and normalization logic, execute migration cycles, troubleshoot data issues, and reconcile results.

What You'll Do:

· Extract, analyze, cleanse, transform, and load data from multiple legacy ERP and business systems.

· Develop and maintain repeatable ETL processes, SQL queries/scripts, transformation logic, and migration utilities.

· Profile legacy datasets to identify data-quality issues, inconsistencies, duplicates, missing values, and migration risks.

· Perform data normalization and standardization across multiple legacy systems, including deduplication and cross-referencing shared master data.

· Translate cleansing and transformation rules into repeatable, executable technical logic.

· Execute mock conversions, test loads, and production migration activities.

· Perform reconciliation and validation between source systems, transformation outputs, and D365.

· Troubleshoot failed records, data anomalies, transformation errors, and migration exceptions.

· Work closely with the ERP PM, functional leads, implementation partner, business SMEs, and IT teams.

· Support cutover and post-go-live data stabilization.

What You'll Need:

· 3+ years of hands-on experience with data migration, ETL, data integration, data conversion, or similar data-focused development, including experience supporting ERP data migrations.

· Strong understanding of ERP data domains (e.g., customers, vendors, items, BOMs, GL, AR/AP, inventory, pricing).

· Strong data analysis and technical skills, including experience using SQL to query, analyze, transform, validate, and troubleshoot large datasets.

· Hands-on experience with ETL tools, data integration platforms, scripting, or migration utilities.

· Experience with data cleansing, normalization, deduplication, transformation, and reconciliation.

· Ability to understand relationships between data across multiple source systems.

· Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

· Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business SMEs.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 data models and migration tools

· Experience supporting phased or multi-go-live ERP programs

· Familiarity with master data governance concepts
