LeachGarner is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join our 1st shift team and begin a career path in our Rolling Mill Program. This position is the first level of our four-level Rolling Mill progression program and is designed for manufacturing professionals looking to develop specialized rolling mill skills. Through hands-on training and demonstrated performance, you'll advance through increasing levels of responsibility, technical expertise, and pay, creating a clear pathway for long-term career growth.

4-day work week!
Hours: 4:30 am - 3:00 pm Monday - Thursday

Responsibilities include:

Set up and operate precision rolling mill to reduce heavy-duty precious metal stock to a precise thickness
Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle
Control and adjust machine settings
Feed raw material
Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools
Test operation of machines periodically
Fix issues that might occur during the shift and maintains activity logs
Use various hand tools, micrometers, calculators and related tools
Maintain necessary records and move materials as necessary in performance of duties
May be trained in other areas as needed

Requirements:

Experience as a machine operator
Ability to read mill tickets and manuals
Able to understand and speak English
Good math skills
Must follow all safety rules and PPE requirements
High school diploma or GED
Excellent and consistent attendance
Must be able to stand and move for a 10-hour shift
Ability to reach stoop and crouch for long periods of time
Visual acuity
Ability to lift 70+ pounds repeatedly throughout a shift utilizing safe lifting practices
