Stellantis’ Software Organization (PDT) builds the most captivating experiences in the latest frontier of Automotive Technology. As part of that foundation, we are seeking enthusiastic engineers to design and execute the software architecture for the ADAS and Automated Driving software features for next generation vehicle controllers.

 

These software features will cover the domains of ADAS and Automated Driving. You will be responsible for the future development and innovation related to ADAS and Automated driving software architecture. You will shape the future of mobility in Stellantis. Ensuring and maintaining the highest quality and developing according to safety and quality standards are a fundamental part of your daily work. Developing scalable software architectures transferable between hardware targets and adaptable for future technology deployment is the primary objective. You will be a contributing part of a global ADAS and Automated Driving engineering organization collaborating with other software architects, safety and cybersecurity engineers, functional designers, and Stellantis partners where collaboration is the center of innovation. 

 

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Ownership and design responsibility of the ADAS and Automated Driving Software Architecture.
  • Participate in safety analysis, cybersecurity analysis and implementation of software architecture which mitigates the risk.
  • Delivering work products supporting the milestones of the launch programs.
  • Collaboration with hardware designers to develop a Hardware Software Interface Specification
  • Verification of interfaces for software architecture.
  • Support development of .arxml and other design models.
  • Plan deliverables as an input and define dependencies according to the development timeline.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  • A minimum of 8 years of embedded software experience in automotive, including a minimum of 3 years of experience in technical lead or project lead or as Software Architect
  • Experience with development compliance with Functional Safety and Cybersecurity practices with product launch success
  • Strong demonstrated technical leadership skills.
  • Basic understanding of the V-model development process applied in an agile environment.
  • Basic understanding of Systems Engineering
  • Good understanding of functional chains on vehicle level for ADAS and Automated Driving features
  • Good knowledge of Automotive Product Development Process like ASPICE and ISO26262
  • Fluent English Skills
  • Analytical & interdisciplinary thinking, critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to abstract and simplify.
  • Ability to recognize problems on one’s own initiative, to work out and implement solutions.
  • Initiative-taking and driving for results.
  • Self-reliant, well-structured, and organized working style with an ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to interface with stakeholders.
  • Capable to communicate & present complex topics efficiently on senior management level.

  • Basic understanding of vehicle architecture and Software Defined Vehicle concepts
  • Demonstrated ability for on time delivery of quality work products.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS or PhD in Applied Physics, Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace or Computer Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
  • A minimum of 10 years of related engineering experience with product launch success on safety relevant hardware and software products.
  • Basic understanding of basic functional building blocks of an Automated Driving Systems
  • Trained and certified in ISO26262 as a Functional Safety Engineer
  • Basic understanding of FDIS 21448:2021
  • Experience working within an agile development process.
  • Experience in model-based development with e.g., Matlab/Simulink
  • Experience with authoring software code compliant with Functional safety standards
  • Familiarity with AUTOSAR (Classic & Adaptive) concepts, architecture, specifications, and configuration tools
  • Familiarity with various software architecture patterns, including Service Oriented Architecture.
