Stellantis is seeking a Propulsion Systems Safety & Diagnostics Engineer to support the development of safety, on-board diagnostics (OBD), and aftersales requirements for advanced propulsion systems.Â

In this role, you will help ensure propulsion control systems are safe, compliant with global regulations, diagnosable, and serviceable across the full vehicle lifecycle.Â
You will work across cross-functional engineering teams to enable robust system design, regulatory compliance, and efficient aftersales support.Â
Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Support development of safety, OBD, and diagnostic requirementsÂ
- Assist in diagnostic definition including DTCs, parameters, and test proceduresÂ
- Support functional safety activities in alignment with ISO 26262Â
- Participate in validation and testing activitiesÂ
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across software, controls, and integrationÂ

- Safety concepts and requirements (TSC)Â
- Diagnostic strategies and DTC definitionsÂ
- Technical policies and diagnostic specificationsÂ
- Safety analyses (FTA, FMEA, FMEDA)Â

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering or related fieldÂ
- Experience in automotive systems, propulsion or embedded control systems preferredÂ
- Knowledge of functional safety (ISO 26262), diagnostics, and OBD regulations (CARB CCR 1968.2, Euro 7)Â
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsÂ
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced engineering degreeÂ
- Experience in powertrain systems (ICE, hybrid, electrified)Â
- Experience with diagnostic development, calibration tools, or validation (HiL)Â
- Familiarity with Agile, ASPICE, or AUTOSARÂ
- Experience working with suppliers and global regulatory processesÂ
