The Crooked Oaks Grounds Maintenance Employee supports the maintenance and upkeep of university grounds, landscapes, and outdoor facilities to promote a safe, attractive, and functional environment for students, employees, and visitors. Provides assistance with grounds operations, event support, and other related activities as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine grounds maintenance and landscape upkeep.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and groundskeeping equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain campus grounds, including lawns, trees, shrubs, hedges, and walkways.
- Remove trash, debris, and other materials from outdoor areas.
- Assist with setup and support for campus and departmental events.
- Follow established health and safety procedures.
- Work evenings and weekends as needed to support operations and special events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Enrolled student at Auburn University
- Valid Driver's License
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to follow directions and work independently.
- Dependable, punctual, and professional.
- Ability to safely operate university equipment.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.Â
