Student Flight Dispatcher

The School of Aviation within the College of Liberal Arts is seeking a Student Flight Dispatcher to coordinate the dispatch of aircraft and flight training devices for students enrolled in the Professional Flight program, as well as report and track aircraft maintenance events.

Operational hours extend from 4:30am-9:00pm Monday-Saturday; selected applicant MUST be available to work every other Saturday.

• Dispatches training flights, simulators, and ground lessons in accordance with the published daily schedule and assigns resources necessary to support flight training.
• Ensures accurate aircraft status is displayed in the computer-based management system.
• Works closely with maintenance personnel to ensure aircraft availability.
• Assists with inventory tracking of training materials and supplies.
• Assists with after-hours/Saturday flight shuttle, as needed.
• Assists in student records management.
• Schedules aircraft re-fueling with airport.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.

• Enrolled student at Auburn University
• Experience with iOS and Microsoft Office Suite
• Valid driver's license

• Clear communication skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with a focus on safety and customer service
