Gordon, GA 30905, USA General SummaryApply paints and various coatings to all types of surfaces. Detach and reattach wall-mounted pictures, equipment, and devices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities· Improve and maintain the overall interior appearance by painting and redecorating walls, woodwork, and fixtures. Knowledge of surface peculiarities and types of paint required for different applications.· Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old finish or by placing putty or filler in nail holes and interstices; applies paint with a spray gun or brush.· May mix colors, oils, white lead, and other paint ingredients to obtain proper color or consistency.· In general, the work of the maintenance painter requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.· Maintains the general cleanliness and appearance of the work areas, including the workshop.· Repairs drywall.· Assists others as part of the maintenance team to perform other duties assigned according to personal qualifications.· Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements· Experience with a Facility Computerized Maintenance Management System software (CMMS) highly desired.· Excellent oral and written communication skills· Possess a broad knowledge of facility operations and maintenance· OSHA-10, OSHA 30, or Haz Work desired.  Work Environment· Must be able to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop, and kneel for short periods, climb a ladder, stand for long periods of time, constant arm extensions.· Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, but none to the point of being disagreeable.
