Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift

Pay:Ā $29.79 per hour
Schedule: 1st Shift | 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Employment Type: Full-Time | Non-Exempt

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing operations. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production machinery and facility equipment to minimize downtime and keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, comfortable troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems, and able to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on production machinery and facility equipment.
  • Diagnose equipment problems and replace or repair defective components.
  • Repair electrical equipment and control wiring.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical drawings, and schematics.
  • Install, adjust, lubricate, clean, and test machinery and components.
  • Use lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other metalworking tools to fabricate or repair parts.
  • Assist with rigging and lifting activities as needed.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns and help minimize production downtime.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.

What We're Looking For

  • At least 2 years of pneumatic experience.
  • At least 2 years of hydraulic experience.
  • At least 2 years of electrical experience, including high- and low-voltage systems.
  • At least 1 year of control voltage wiring experience.
  • At least 1 year of rigging and lifting experience.
  • Ability to read detailed blueprints, electrical drawings, and schematics.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work safely around moving machinery and electrical equipment.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

This is a hands-on manufacturing position. Employees regularly stand, walk, reach, handle tools and equipment, and work around moving mechanical equipment. The position may require climbing or balancing and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.

The manufacturing environment may include loud noise, moving machinery, electrical hazards, varying temperatures, and occasional exposure to wet or humid conditions.
