How You Will Make an ImpactĀ 

Maintain Safe and Operational Camp FacilitiesĀ 

  • Complete routine maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance activities across camp buildings, facilities, and equipment.Ā 
  • Perform basic repairs related to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, mechanical systems, and general building maintenance.Ā 
  • Inspect facilities and identify safety concerns, maintenance needs, and opportunities for improvement.Ā 
  • Support the readiness of cabins, common areas, activity spaces, and other camp facilities.Ā 

Maintain Grounds and Outdoor SpacesĀ 

  • Maintain camp grounds, trails, landscaping, recreation areas, and outdoor spaces to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment.Ā 
  • Perform seasonal groundskeeping activities, including mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, watering, leaf removal, and general cleanup.Ā 
  • Maintain outdoor equipment, tools, and recreational areas as assigned.Ā 
  • Assist with weather-related needs such as storm cleanup, snow removal, or other seasonal requirements.Ā 

Support Camp OperationsĀ 

  • Respond to maintenance requests and operational needs in a timely and service-oriented manner.Ā 
  • Assist with setup, repairs, and improvements that support camp programs, activities, and events.Ā 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Ā 
  • Work collaboratively with camp leadership and other departments to support daily operations.Ā 

Protect Camp Property and ResourcesĀ 

  • Perform preventative maintenance to extend the life of buildings, equipment, and property assets.Ā 
  • Identify potential issues early and communicate recommendations to prevent larger repairs.Ā 
  • Maintain tools, supplies, equipment, and maintenance records.Ā 
  • Complete other duties as assigned.Ā Ā

What You Bring to the YĀ 

Ā 

  • High School Diploma or GED required.Ā 
  • Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills.Ā 
  • High school diploma or GED.Ā 
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in facility maintenance, grounds maintenance, construction, property management, or a related field.Ā 
  • Experience using hand tools, power tools, lawn equipment, and maintenance equipment safely.Ā 
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance.Ā 
  • Ability and willingness to travel to assigned locations as needed.Ā 
  • Valid driver’s license required.Ā 
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency service schedules as needed.Ā 

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and perform physical work throughout the day. The Camp Facilities Technician must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, operate maintenance and groundskeeping equipment, and work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
