Working on the manufacturing floor, you will read and interpret work orders, configure machine stops and guides, operate industrial saw equipment, and inspect output for defects — ensuring every cut meets quality standards. This is a hands-on role requiring basic math ability, skill with measurement tools, and strong attention to detail. The company will train the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Machine Operation Operate the saw machine: Run industrial cutting equipment safely and efficiently throughout each shift. Set stops and guides: Configure machine stops and guides to the specified length for each job. Cut metals precisely: Execute cuts accurately to meet production specifications for each work order. Monitor for defects: Inspect output continuously while operating the machine; identify and flag any defects or quality issues. Work Order & Documentation Read and interpret work orders: Understand job requirements and translate them into accurate machine configurations. Complete paperwork accurately: Maintain production records and documentation for each job. Use measurement tools: Apply tape measures and other instruments to verify cut lengths and ensure accuracy. Systems & Reporting Computer skills: Navigate job-related software and enter production data as required. NetSuite ERP: Use NetSuite to reference work orders and log production activity (experience a plus; training provided). Qualifications Required Qualifications Basic math skills — ability to perform measurements and simple calculations to set machine configurations. Ability to read a tape measure accurately. Attention to detail — consistent focus on precision and quality throughout the shift. Ability to read and follow work orders and production documentation. Basic computer skills for data entry and job lookup. Ability to lift up to 50–70 lbs. regularly throughout the shift. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50–70 lbs. regularly throughout the shift. Ability to stand and remain on your feet for the duration of a full shift in a manufacturing environment. Ability to bend, reach, and maneuver around equipment and materials on the production floor. Work Schedule & Location Location: 100% on-site at our Austin, TX manufacturing facility. This role cannot be performed remotely. Starting Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (4 days/week). Schedule Flexibility: Schedule may adjust based on production needs within standard plant operating hours. Tools & Systems Used Industrial saw equipment — primary production tool for cutting metal components to specification. Tape measure and precision measurement tools — for verifying cut lengths and machine configuration. NetSuite ERP — for work order lookup and production logging (training provided). Standard documentation tools — for paperwork completion and production recordkeeping. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience operating industrial cutting or manufacturing equipment. Familiarity with NetSuite ERP or similar manufacturing software. Experience in a metal fabrication, manufacturing, or production environment. Ability to interpret basic technical drawings or blueprints.
