Position Summary:

The Electrical Apprentice is an entry-level position responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in commercial construction projects. This role works under the direct supervision of a Journeyman Electrician or Foreman and is designed to provide hands-on training and skill development in the electrical trade.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the installation of electrical systems in new construction, tenant upfits, and remodel projects
Support Journeyman Electricians with daily tasks and assigned work activities
Learn to measure, bend, and install conduit, including EMT and MC cable
Assist with wire installation, pulling wire, and operating basic equipment such as wire tuggers
Help install fixtures, outlets, switches, and other electrical devices
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Assist with tool, equipment, and material accountability
Follow all company safety policies and utilize required PPE at all times
Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and develop trade skills
Learn how to read and interpret blueprints and job drawings
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Meet productivity goals and project timelines as directed by leadership

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Enrollment in or willingness to enroll in an electrical apprenticeship program is a plus
Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction environments preferred but not required
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Good communication and time management skills

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, and work in physically demanding environments
Ability to climb ladders, crawl, and work in confined spaces as required
Ability to work in varying weather and job site conditions
