Here's The Role

LCRA is seeking a highly motivated, self-directed, and detail-oriented individual to join our estimating team. You will analyze project requirements, collaborate with project stakeholders, and contribute to delivering quality estimates for substations, transmission lines, facilities, interconnect, and telecom projects. We are a team that succeeds by collaborating, evaluating data, and communicating with both internal and external stakeholders. How You’ll Contribute

  • Lead and coordinate with LCRA departmental stakeholders through the estimating process.
  • Schedule and lead construction estimate review meetings with the project stakeholders.
  • Performs site visits, attends pre-bid meetings, and generally interacts with internal and external customers and representatives.
  • Performs in-depth quality assurance and quality control of data and documentation.
  • Read and interpret construction drawings, bid documents and engineering specifications.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

How You’re Qualified

  • Four or more years of experience in substation construction, line construction, utility operations, engineering, finance, accounting, economics, or other relevant experience.
  • A degree(s) in business, economics, mathematics, engineering, accounting, statistics, finance or relevant field experience may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for specific years of experience.
  • Driver's license

How You’ll Stand Out

  • Estimating experience in Excel, Sage or Bluebeam. 
  • Knowledge in Transmission and Substation.
  • Outstanding communicator.
  • Experience with Jira, Oracle, Peoplesoft, and SharePoint.
  • Live within 60 minutes of Austin for work call outs.
