Job Details: Job Location: Embassy Suites - Austin - Austin, TX, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Shift: Any, a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb;}tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6;}tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5;}The Houseperson plays an important role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel by supporting the Housekeeping team. This position is responsible for cleaning public areas, delivering supplies, assisting room attendants, moving linens, responding to guest requests, and helping ensure guests have an exceptional stay.Essential Duties & Responsibilities Clean and maintain public areas, including hallways, stairwells, elevators, lobbies, and back-of-house areas. Deliver linens, towels, guest supplies, and housekeeping amenities throughout the hotel. Remove trash and soiled linens from guest room floors and designated areas. Assist Room Attendants with supplies, furniture movement, and special cleaning projects. Respond promptly to guest requests for additional items such as towels, blankets, cribs, and other amenities. Maintain housekeeping storage rooms and linen closets in a clean and organized manner. Assist with deep-cleaning projects as assigned. Report maintenance concerns, damaged equipment, and safety hazards to management. Follow all hotel safety procedures and service standards. Provide friendly and professional service to guests and fellow team members. Support other departments and housekeeping functions as business needs require.Qualifications Previous housekeeping, janitorial, hotel, or custodial experience preferred but not required. Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Dependable attendance and flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed. Ability to follow instructions and maintain hotel cleanliness standards.Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, pushing, and pulling. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
