Responsibilities

The Mechanical Engineer designs and analyzes mechanical systems, equipment and packaging.

Conducts feasibility studies and testing on new and modified designs.
Directs support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication.
Provides design information to drafting for packaging documentation.
Exercises discretion and independent judgment in designing, developing, and testing mechanical components, parts, and assembly of product equipment, signage, and merchandising.
Customarily and regularly develops solutions and performs prototype testing for product validation and design verification.
Customarily and regularly creates and shares engineering data with cross-functional teams; including parts and assembly drawings, bills of material, and engineering change orders.
Utilizes engineering principles and best practices in designing parts and assemblies for sheet metal fabrication, vacuum forming, injection molding, and machining.
Actively works on multiple projects, coordinating design tasks and timelines with management.
May act as a point of contact for vendors.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree; an advanced degree is preferred.

Experience:

5 years of work experience; 2 years of related experience is required.
