Principal Engineer

Drive the future of energy by leading the engineering strategy for LCRA Wholesale Power’s generation interconnections in ERCOT, the epicenter of the AI and data center boom! As a Principal Engineer expert, you will evaluate and execute critical projects while providing vital engineering support for corporate development with LCRA service territory. • Leverage critical thinking and analytical engineering principles to evaluate potential projects.
• Spearhead various projects ensuring accountability and timely completion of all deliverables.
• Deliver concise reporting evaluations to drive definitive “Go/No-Go” recommendations based on feasibility and strategic alignment.
• Partner with external and internal stakeholders to align strategic business objectives into practical cost-effective roadmaps.
• Leverage a high level of adaptability and collaborate with a tight-knit team to drive success in evolving projects.

• Bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, engineering physics, biosystems engineering, mathematical science, physical science or related science plus fifteen or more years of post-Bachelors engineering experience relating to the area of engineering specialization required to perform the job, including project management and providing technical leadership in engineering or other relevant experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas
• Driver's license

• Experience operating a power generator.
• Proficient in entrepreneurial execution of new projects.
• Proficient in analyzing reports and conducting technical evaluations.
