Server Administrator

Step into your future as a Server Admin! You will install, maintain, and support servers, ensuring reliability and security in a large enterprise environment. We are seeking applicants with strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset. This is a hybrid role based in Austin, TX, requiring team members to work onsite in our Austin office three days per week to support collaboration and operational excellence.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Troubleshoot server issues and manage physical and virtualized servers.
• Administer, configure, and maintain Nutanix and VMWare environments to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability in the enterprise infrastructure
• Monitor tens of thousands of compute and networking assets.
• Use scripting technologies to automate tasks efficiently.
• Administer system management tools, including patching and antivirus products.
• Manage user and computer access to Active Directory using authentication technologies.
• Follow operational policies and procedures for enterprise environments.
• Document design, maintenance, and support procedures for routine tasks.
• Participate in a 24x7 on-call support rotation and off-hours maintenance.

What You Will Likely Bring:

• 3+ years’ experience in server administration and troubleshooting.
• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Nutanix and VMWare experience is a must.
• Knowledge of server hardware, Microsoft Windows Server, VMWare ESXi, Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, basic networking, and service monitoring (e.g., Zabbix, Site24x7, Datadog).
• Experience with patching solutions (e.g., Tanium, BigFix), Microsoft Azure, backup and recovery, Citrix, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux is desirable.
• Ability to work as part of a team, identify and seek needed information, and meet deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities.
