Position Overview:

The Landscape Superintendent plays a critical role in the success of all the landscape projects. Superintendents work closely with the Project Managers to plan, implement, and close out the projects that they are assigned. In this role, Superintendents lead teams of Foreman, Laborers, and Subcontractors throughout the life of the project while instilling as sense of quality, safety, and core values of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directs daily field operations, assigns tasks, and manages crewproductivity. 
  • Provides on-site leadership to ensure that work isperformed safely, efficiently, andin accordance withprojectplansand specifications. 
  • Acts as the primaryfieldauthority on allconstruction activities.
  • Collaborates with the Project Manager to develop andmaintainshort- and long-term schedules. 
  • Coordinatesmanpower, equipment,and material deliveries tomaintainsteady workflow and minimizedowntime. 
  • Communicatesdaily with other trades and subcontractors to resolve conflicts and sequencing issues.
  • Enforcesall company and OSHA safety policies on-site. Leads dailyjobsite safety meetings, ensures use of PPE, andmaintainsa cleanand organized site.
  • Reports and documents all incidents, near misses,and corrective actions promptly.
  • Maintains open communication with Project Managerregardingproject progress, delays,manpowerneeds, and potential issues.
  • Submits daily reports, verifies field time entries, tracks quantitiesinstalled, andassistsin documenting changes for potential changeorders.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years in landscape construction
  • Experience in leading employees
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Irrigation License preferred
  • Bi-lingual preferred
