Job Details: Job Location: 5656 BEE CAVES RD - AUSTIN, TX, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $36.00 - $44.00Hourly, Job Shift: Day, The Full-Time Surgical Technologist Support Team Member provides flexible coverage within the Surgical Services Department by assisting with operating room operations, staff break coverage, and procedural support as needed. This position functions as a resource to the surgical team by maintaining a safe, efficient, and organized operating room environment while supporting surgeons, nurses, and other perioperative staff.Responsibilities include providing lunch and break relief, filling staffing gaps as assigned, assisting with surgical instrument counts, preparing and restocking operating rooms, supporting room turnover activities, and ensuring proper disposal of trash, linen, biohazardous waste, and sharps in accordance with OSHA, infection prevention, and facility policies.Qualifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required. Current BLS certification. 3-5 years of CST/OR Experience required. Knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterile processing principles, and operating room workflows. Ability to work independently and adapt to changing departmental needs. Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient and employee safety.
