East West Hospitality is looking for a Community Association Manager to lead the Mauna Lani Resort Association on the Kohala Coast of Hawaiʻi. Duties Include:
Association Operations & Leadership
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the Mauna Lani Resort Association, serving as East West Hospitality’s senior on-site representative and primary operational partner to the Board of Directors.
- Set the standard for service, accountability, and operational excellence while staying visible and engaged throughout the community.
Board & Governance Support
- Build a strong, collaborative relationship with the Board and provide the operational insight, recommendations, and information needed to support effective decision-making.
- Guide the consistent implementation of Board direction, governing documents, policies, rules, and regulations while keeping priorities, commitments, and action items moving forward.
Financial Management
- Partner with Accounting & Finance, the Board, and key stakeholders to develop and manage the Association’s annual operating budget and long-term financial priorities.
- Monitor financial performance, expenditures, contracts, assessments, reserves, and other resources to ensure responsible stewardship and clear accountability.
Infrastructure, Facilities & Asset Stewardship
- Oversee the maintenance, appearance, operation, and long-term care of the Association’s common areas, facilities, infrastructure, historic resources, and shoreline properties.
- Stay ahead of maintenance needs, operational risks, deferred maintenance, and capital requirements through regular inspections, preventive programs, and proactive planning.

Pay Rate:Â $100k - $120k/year
Schedule:Â Typically 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday with weekends as needed

Our Ideal Candidate Has:
- Significant leadership experience in community association management, luxury resort operations, master-planned communities, residential property management, hospitality, or a closely related environment.
- Experience working directly with Boards of Directors, sophisticated homeowners, owners, and other stakeholders, with the communication skills to build trust and move complex priorities forward.
- Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, financial statement review, expense management, forecasting, and capital planning.
- A track record of managing vendors, contracts, facilities, infrastructure, and significant community assets with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
- The leadership presence to build strong teams, develop people, establish accountability, and create a professional, service-focused culture.
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration, hospitality, community association management, real estate, or a related field is preferred, along with a community association credential such as CMCA, AMS, or PCAM—or a willingness to obtain the appropriate credential.
- Licensing Requirement: Must possess and maintain an active, unrestricted State of Hawai‘i Real Estate Broker License in good standing throughout employment. Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable Hawai‘i real estate licensing laws and regulations within assigned property management and vacation rental operations.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel throughout the Mauna Lani community as needed.
