Position Summary: 

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented General Helper to join our Paint Shop team in a chemical processing plant focused on the aerospace industry. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation, painting, and finishing of aerospace components while ensuring safety and quality standards are met. This is an entry-level position, offering hands-on training and opportunities for growth within the company.

The hourly range for this position is $20.00 to $22.00 per hour.

Shift: Friday–Monday weekend shift (4×8 hrs, 32 hrs worked, 40 hrs paid)
Hours: Fri & Mon 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Sat & Sun 6 AM- 2:30 PM 

 

Essential Responsibilities:

 

  • Performs set-up for painting, fills out and maintains paperwork, coordinates workflow with painters and performs other paint shop responsibilities.
  • Performs racking, un-racking, sanding, blasting, polishing, masking, unmasking, take down, touch up, part mark and other finishing shop responsibilities.
  • Utilize production work orders, documents, drawings, specifications, and written or oral instructions to perform tasks necessary to meet production requirements.
  • Detect and report defective equipment, materials, and faulty operations to supervisor.
  • Maintains written and Visual Manufacturing records.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area.
  • Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
  • Follows work rules and standard safety regulations at all times.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Position Requirements: 

 

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic computer literacy in Windows environment and basic literacy in MS Office.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply basic mathematical skills to the work environment.
    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, team oriented, and ability to deal with a wide.
  • Dynamic communication styles.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    Excellent attention to detail.
  • Due to ITAR regulations, this position requires that the employee must be a U.S.  Person (U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident). Spanish would be a plus.
