EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION:Ā Non-Exempt
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma
- A teacher must have completed his/her early childhood education classes with a passing grade.
- A teacher must have at least 12 units and 6 months in a licensed childcare center or similar program.
- A teacher may have only 6 units in early childhood education if the teacher is enrolled in at least 2 units each semester units all units complete.
- One year experience working with special needs consumers
REPORTS To:Ā Social Services Manager
JOB GOAL:Ā To facilitate a classroom and supervise all activities in his/her classroom. To ensure all consumers are supervised and challenged to reach the consumers goals.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES:Ā Must supervise his/her classroom and Teachers Aids
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Must be able to complete consumer reports.
- Must be able to multitask
- Maintain student records (data)
- Ability to work with all consumers with all aspects of special needs
- Must be able to sit, bend climb and life up to 50 lbs.
- Must be a team player and able to perform duties outside of his/her job description as assigned.
CERTIFICATES:Ā
- CPR/First Aide (Preferred not required)
- Non-Crisis Intervention (Preferred not required)
