We are seeking a Medication Mixing Technician to join our team. In this role, you will help support our mission by ensuring high-quality execution of daily responsibilities, maintaining accuracy, and contributing to a collaborative environment focused on patient care and continuous improvement.

The Basics

Location: Bakersfield, CA (Onsite)
Job Type: Full Time, Temporary to Hire (Temp-to-Hire)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:15 am - 5:15 pm
Compensation: $23.00/hour

How You’ll Make an Impact

  •  Prepares prescriptions for dispensing by the pharmacist and fills stock replacements.
  • Makes requisitions for drugs and supplies with professional guidance from the pharmacist.
  • Orders, receives, and maintains inventory of drugs and chemicals, and ensures their security.
  • Helps maintain an orderly, clean environment including cleanliness of pharmacy stock and supplies.
  • Enters data into the computer system, recording prescriptions, purchase orders, stock orders, requisitions, and disbursements.
  • Under direction of pharmacist, removes unneeded or outdated drugs from stock and prepares for return or disposal.
  • Performs general clerical duties for the department.

 

What We’re Looking For

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • California State Pharmacy Technician License Required 
  • Experience in manufacturing, production, or compounding preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Ability to follow formulas, procedures, and batch instructions
  • Comfortable working with chemicals used in compounding
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to stay focused in a production environment
  • Positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand and work in a lab/production setting
