Med Run Driver - Full Time
Location: Benson Avenue 21227
Pay Rate: $18.00
Available schedule is Mon - Fri, 7am - 4pm. Full-Time benefit eligible
Since 1983 L.I.F.E. has been serving individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ID) along with other disabilities in residential, meaningful day and medical day settings throughout greater Baltimore, Howard County, and since 2015 in Southern Maryland to include Charles and St. Mary Counties. We are seeking dedicated, high energy, compassionate, highly professional candidates who are passionate about helping individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities integrate into the community. The ideal candidate will help these individuals develop key life skills to operate independently in the community.
Med Runner/Driver Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Transport participants to and from day program/residence to designated destination on an as needed basis.
Transport participants to and from all appointments
Reviews medical appointment forms before and after each appointment to ensure that all paperwork is complete and signed.
Represents the participants by providing all pertinent information to the medical professional regarding the medical conditions and/or concerns
Obtain and report all follow up information after each appointment (next appt time, referrals etc.) to the appropriate person(s)
Submit all medical paperwork to nursing department or house manager once the appointment is completed.
Notifies scheduler or designee twenty-four hours in advance if unable to transport client as assigned.
Responsible for getting routine maintenance completed on assigned vehicle on a specific schedule.
Inspects vehicle before and at the end of the day to ensure cleanliness and report any maintenance issues
Complete and submit weekly vehicle related paperwork (i.e. mileage log).
Performs other duties and tasks as assigned
Other Requirements:
Valid Maryland Driver's License (not provisional) with two points or less on your Maryland driving record.
Successfully pass criminal background, drug, physical and TB check

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED certificate.
Experience working with D.D. clients and/or strong evidence of aptitudes and abilities that would allow one to meet the responsibilities and duties as described above
Certifications:
CPR & First Aid, BPS and OSHA Certifications during 90-day probationary period.
Completes DDA trainings per regulations and LIFE Incorporated policies
