The Division of Pediatric Nephrology and Hypertension is currently seeking a faculty member to join our expanding program!

Position/Program Highlights:

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Collaborative team of Physicians and Providers, Nurses and Administrative Staff committed to providing care and services for inpatient and outpatient renal failure, hypertension, congenital renal malformations, hematuria, proteinuria, nephrotic syndrome, and several more complex renal conditions.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Highly engaged with resident and medical student teaching/training and clinical research.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Opportunity to engage in clinical and research activities across a number of Pediatric and Surgical/Transplant Specialties and Teams, where Our Department of Transplant Surgery is one of the nation鈥檚 busiest.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Strong focus on community outreach and health equity especially in renal diseases and pediatric hypertension.

Hospital/Service Line Offerings and Features:

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 State-of-the-art treatments including kidney transplantation, peritoneal dialysis and continuous renal replacement therapy.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 The Pediatric Hypertension Program is a specialized effort in collaboration with pediatric nephrology, pediatric endocrinology and clinical nutrition to treat children with obesity and hypertension. The program offers a wide range of comprehensive diagnostic evaluations, including ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, hypertension treatment and weight management.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 UM Children鈥檚 Hospital includes:

o聽聽 State of the art 52-bed Level IV NICU

o聽聽 19 bed PICU

o聽聽 29 General Pediatric Beds

o聽聽 20 bed Pediatric Emergency Department

Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.

Salary range: 聽Assistant Professor $147,000 聽Associate Professor $175,000

Qualifications:

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Licensed (Maryland) M.D./D.O.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Board Eligible or Board Certified in Pediatric Nephrology.

聽聽聽聽聽聽聽聽 Maryland State medical license, or able to obtain.
