Job Description:

The OpportunityĀ

Flywheel Ventures is the division of Flywheel focused on new, innovative investments in high- growth marketplaces. It is an exciting opportunity to be part of a startup environment within a larger company.Ā

Ā

We areĀ seekingĀ a seasoned, technically fluent Senior Product Manager to lead zero-to-one product development across emerging commerce platforms, connected data products, AI-enabled workflows, and strategic integrations. This is a senior individual-contributor role for a product leader who can take an ambiguous opportunity fromĀ initialĀ problem definition through discovery, prototype, product strategy, roadmap, launch, and iteration. You will work at the intersection of social commerce, commerce data, APIs, vendor platforms, clean rooms/data lakes, and AI. You will turn fragmented signals and disparate data sources into useful, scalable outcomes for clients and internal teams. Success in Flywheel Ventures requires a self- starter who can create clarity where none exists, make sound build/buy/partner recommendations, and independently drive progress with leadership, technical teams, operations, and external Partners.Ā

Ā

While this role will support Flywheel Ventures’ social-commerce initiatives—including TikTok Shop and adjacent creator, affiliate, paid-media, and marketplace capabilities; it has a broader mandate toĀ identifyĀ and build the next generation of commerce products, data capabilities, measurement solutions, and workflow automation.Ā

What You Will Do:Ā

  • Lead zero-to-one product discovery and development:Ā identifyĀ unmet needs, define the problem,Ā validateĀ customerĀ and market demand, develop product hypotheses, and take the strongest opportunities from concept to scalable product.Ā

  • Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and multi-quarter roadmap for Flywheel Ventures’ social commerce, commerce data, integration, and AI-enabled initiatives.Ā

  • Use rapid prototypes, proof-of-concept, user research, and structured experiments to test assumptions early,Ā demonstrateĀ value, and make informed investment decisions before committing significant engineering effort.Ā

  • Own roadmap prioritization using customer value, commercial return, GMV/revenue potential, adoption, operational impact, technical feasibility, risk, and time-to-market as decisionĀ inputs.Ā

  • Translate business needs, platform changes, customer feedback, and technical constraints into clear requirements, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable release plans.Ā

  • Partner closely with Engineering, Data, Design, Client Solutions, Operations, Sales, Legal, Security, and executive leadership to deliver high-quality, scalable products.Ā

  • Engage credibly in technical discussions involving APIs, webhooks, OAuth, permissions, tokenĀ management, SDKs, data models, event schemas, workflow orchestration, and third-partyĀ platform integrations.Ā

  • Shape product requirements for data ingestion, normalization, identity resolution, data quality,Ā governance, clean rooms, data lakes/warehouses, measurement environments, and system-of-record decisions.Ā

  • Develop an AI-first product approach:Ā identifyĀ opportunities for AI to improve insights,Ā decisioning, workflow automation, campaign/commerce operations, content processes, andĀ user experience.Ā

  • Evaluate, select, and manage external vendors and platform partners; lead technical dueĀ diligence, capability assessment, roadmap alignment, delivery oversight, and escalation whenĀ needed.Ā

  • Develop a strong point of view on where Flywheel should build, buy, partner, integrate, orĀ prototype—and communicate the rationale clearly to leadership.Ā

  • Stay current on social commerce, creator/affiliate ecosystems, marketplace platforms, retailĀ media, AI capabilities, data/privacy trends, and platform API changes.Ā

Who You Are:Ā

  • A seasoned product manager whoĀ operatesĀ at a senior level, regardless of formal title, and hasĀ demonstratedĀ ownership of products fromĀ initialĀ concept through launch and iteration.Ā

  • A natural zero-to-one builder who is energized by ambiguity, can create structure from incomplete information, and knows how to turn a nascent idea into a validated product strategy and execution plan.Ā

  • A self-starter who can independently frame a problem, gather the right inputs, build alignment,Ā andĀ makeĀ decisionsĀ toĀ move work forward without excessive direction.Ā

  • Technically fluent and credible with engineering and data teams. You do not need to be anĀ engineer, but you understand how modern software products, integrations, data systems, cloudĀ services, and AI-enabled applications are designed and delivered.Ā

  • Comfortable working across APIs, platform ecosystems,Ā authenticationĀ and authorizationĀ patterns, data pipelines, data lakes/warehouses, clean rooms, and vendor-managedĀ technologies.Ā

  • Experienced in social commerce, marketplaces, retail media, ad tech, creator/affiliateĀ technology, SaaS, or adjacent digital-commerce ecosystems; TikTok Shop experience is stronglyĀ preferred.Ā

  • AI-focused and pragmatic: able to use prototypes and experimentation to connect disparateĀ data points into usable outcomes, while applying judgment around data quality, privacy,Ā security, supportability, and ROI.Ā

  • Highly analytical and outcome-oriented, with the ability to distinguish between interesting ideasĀ and the opportunities with the highest potential return.Ā

  • Comfortable working directly with executives, technical teams, clients, and external partners;Ā able to communicate complex concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.Ā

  • A strong collaborator and operator with excellent written communication, stakeholderĀ management, and organizational skills.Ā

Ā

Preferred ExperienceĀ

  • 7+ years of product management, product strategy, technical product leadership, or equivalent experience in software, SaaS, commerce technology, marketplace technology, ad tech, data, or platform environments.Ā

  • Experience with TikTok Shop, TikTok for Business, Amazon, Reacher, or related social-commerce and retail-media platforms.Ā

  • Experience delivering products involving APIs, integrations, third-party platforms, data pipelines, multi-system workflows, or connector frameworks.Ā

  • Experience with AI/LLM-enabled products, intelligent workflow automation, agents, retrieval/evaluation patterns, or data intelligence products.Ā

  • Experience with data warehouses/lakes, clean rooms, identity/matching, data governance,Ā measurement, and technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks,Ā BigQuery, AWS, Azure, or GCP.Ā

  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tooling like Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Sigma,Ā or custom HTTP-based and hosted reporting offerings.Ā

  • Experience evaluating or managing external vendors, strategic technology partnerships,Ā platform APIs, and commercial/technical trade-offs.Ā

  • Experience in a startup, innovation, incubation, consultancy, or highly matrixed enterpriseĀ environment.Ā

  • Experience working in Agile or iterative product-development environments and using data toĀ measure product performance and guide decisions.Ā
