About the Role:

The Automation Consultant OSI PI plays a critical role in enabling organizations to leverage real-time data for improved operational efficiency and decision-making. This position focuses on the design, implementation, and optimization of OSIsoft PI System solutions tailored to client-specific industrial and information technology environments. The consultant collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable automation and data infrastructure strategies. By ensuring seamless integration of OSI PI with existing systems, the role drives enhanced data visibility, predictive analytics, and process automation. Ultimately, the consultant delivers actionable insights that empower clients to optimize asset performance, reduce downtime, and achieve strategic business objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience working with OSIsoft PI System architecture, configuration, and administration.
• Strong understanding of industrial automation, data acquisition, and real-time data processing concepts.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or similar for automation tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Professional certification in OSIsoft PI System or related technologies.
• Experience integrating OSI PI with SCADA, MES, or ERP systems.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and data analytics tools to enhance OSI PI capabilities.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices relevant to industrial control systems.
• Prior consulting experience in the information technology or industrial automation sectors.

Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and deploy OSI PI System architectures to meet client operational and data management needs.
• Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather requirements, assess current systems, and develop tailored automation solutions.
• Implement data collection, validation, and visualization strategies using OSI PI tools to support real-time monitoring and analytics.
• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to ensure system reliability, performance, and security.
• Conduct training sessions and create documentation to enable client teams to effectively utilize OSI PI solutions.
• Stay current with industry trends and OSI PI product updates to recommend continuous improvements and best practices.
