Utility Person I (CMD - 602)

Job Details: Job Location: 602 Baton Rouge LA - Baton Rouge, LA, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Category: Installation - Maint - Repair, Scope of Work:As a Utility Person I you will operate a fork lift to move parts, loading and unloading of equipment. Shipping/receiving of parts from manufacturers, customers and various other sources.  Cleaning and prep of equipment for shipment and storage. Other duties as assigned.Primary Job Responsibilities:The Utility Person I is responsible and accountable for, but not limited to, the following: Keep shop clean and organized. General maintenance on equipment and buildings. Pick-up and delivery as required. Maintain steam cleaner/parts cleaner equipment. Ensure that material/components removed from vat are properly cleaned and organized. Steam cleaning of parts, engines, and other equipment. Assist Technicians as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Must have a valid driver license with a clean driving record.Requirements: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Must have the ability to effectively operate forklifts. Must have the ability to effectively operate a steam cleaner/parts cleaner. Must have the ability to effectively operate general hand tools. Must have the ability to effectively operate overhead cranes. Must have good organizational skills. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.Working Conditions and Physical Demands: Typical hours of work Monday through Friday; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Some occasional extended hours may be required. Sitting; occasional bending or kneeling; lift and carry a maximum of 50 Lbs., reach overhead for lightweight items.
