Job Description:

SCOPE: Under general supervision, is responsible for the coordination and administration of all CT/Sims and diagnostic radiologic exams; ensures technical quality and timely transfer of data; and fabricates any necessary immobilization devices prior to scan as needed.

FUNCTIONS:

1.    Administer Radioactive Tracer (F18 FDG) as well as I.V. contrast.
2.    Perform and maintain quality control procedures for PET imaging.
3.    Perform functional imaging (PET) scans for diagnostic purpose.
4.    Perform diagnostic CT scans for routine radiologic exams.
5.    Perform CT scans for radiation treatment planning purposes.
6.    Fabricate immobilization  and other treatment devices
7.    Perform chest x-rays
8.    Rotational Call

QUALIFICATIONS:

•    This position is PRN and will need availability for 2 days per week on average depending on coverage needs.
•    Certificate in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
•    Graduate of an AMA accredited program in radiologic technology

•    Registered by ARRT and NMTCB with current license by the state of Louisiana
•    2 years experience as nuclear medicine technologist
•    2 years experience as radiological technologist

 •   CT experience preferred    

•    Phlebotomist training preferred
