The Terry Smith Agency in Battle Creek is looking for an enthusiastic, goal-driven individual to join our growing team! We're seeking someone who brings a positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the motivation to develop a successful career in insurance sales.
Whether you have a background in sales or are ready to transition into a new industry, we'll provide the hands-on training, personalized guidance, and professional resources to help you build confidence and achieve your goals.
What You'll Do
Generate new business opportunities through agency-provided leads, referrals, prospecting, and outbound calls
Engage with prospective customers to understand their priorities and identify suitable insurance solutions
Prepare quotes, explain coverage options, and sell Auto, Home, Life, Business, and other insurance products
Develop meaningful relationships with customers through consistent communication and follow-up
Recognize opportunities to recommend additional coverage and generate referrals
Manage an active sales pipeline while working toward individual and agency production goals
Strengthen your sales techniques through ongoing coaching, training, and professional development

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with people confidently
A self-motivated, results-oriented mindset with a desire to grow professionally and financially
Comfortable initiating conversations, making outbound calls, and asking for the sale
Resilience, determination, and the ability to stay motivated through challenges
A willingness to learn, apply feedback, and continuously improve
Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail
Previous experience in sales, retail, banking, hospitality, automotive, or customer service is beneficial
Active insurance licensing preferred, or willingness to obtain the required licenses
Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
