The Senior Well Engineer is responsible and accountable for theoperational performance, regulatory compliance, and safe delivery of multiplewell operations achieved through the leadership of a multi-disciplineddrilling, completions, and work-over team. The position supports single ormulti-rig operations to deliver wells within the planned time, cost, and HSEtargets by using optimum technology and best industry practices withoutcompromising established company policies and HSE standards. The role drivesthe implementation of all lessons learned from offset wells, contributes toperformance analysis and improvement, target setting, and benchmarking.

Experience & QualificationsRequirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Engineering degree,or equivalent technical discipline.
- Experience: At least 10 years, preferably15+ years, of relevant experience in E&P in well engineering with deepknowledge of well planning, well design, well programming, and wellconstruction including completions.
- Regional Exposure: Preferred exposure andexperience with Drilling and CWI (Completions & Well Interventions)activities in Oman.
- Technical Forecast: Proven ability andwillingness to avoid potential difficulties by predicting and understandingdownhole conditions and applying appropriate preventive techniques.
- Certifications: Valid IWCF certificate(Supervisor/Level 4 Surface Stack).
- Deep Drilling: Must possess robustexperience in deep drilling environments.
- Design Capabilities: Comprehensiveexperience in casing & tubing design, cement design, fluids/mud programmes,BHA designs, and hydraulics optimization to suit Well Construction & CWIprograms.
- Software & Systems: Fully conversantwith Well Planning software, directional drilling, and horizontal welloperations with proven leadership capabilities in onshore oilfield operations.
- Commercial Acumen: experience in ContractManagement acting in the role of Contract Holder or Deputy Contract Holder.
- Methodology: Possesses a continuousimprovement and simplification mindset, with practical knowledge of Agile waysof working.
- Communication: Excellent oral and writtenTechnical English communication skills.

People Leadership & Team Management
- Line Management: Act as the direct linemanager for Well Engineers, who will report directly to this position.
- Talent Development: Motivate, coach, mentorand develop well engineers within the operational team.
Operational & Performance Management
- Rig Support: Provide office-based technicalsupport to the Well Engineer Manager to effectively manage rig/hoistoperations.
- Continuous Improvement: Embed the 'Drillingtechnical Limit' concept (DWOP - Drill Well on Paper, AAR - After ActionReviews, BPR - Business Performance Reviews) and performance management in eachactivity to drive a learning organization.
- Rig Site Collaboration: Provide real-timesupport and technical information to the rig-site Drilling Supervisor on allmatters related to drilling, completion, work-over, and abandonment operations.
- Cost & Efficiency: Monitor workdelivered and associated costs. Ensuring that the most cost-effectivetechniques and equipment are applied on site.
- Technical Standardization: Standardize alldrilling/CWI assemblies, hydraulics, and drilling parameters; lead trialinitiatives (including new drill bit trials) with clear performance metrics andstructured feedback loops.
- Reporting: Create all necessary technicalreports to support operations and ensure timely lookaheads for personnel,equipment, and services.
Delivery & Design Accountability
- Budgetary Target: Ensure all wellobjectives are achieved within agreed program time constraints and budget. KPI:Maintain actual vs. planned cost.
- Lifecycle Integrity: Ensure robust welldesigns that account for all relevant load cases over the entire welllifecycle.
- Equipment Specification: Manage thedefinition and technical specification of all well drilling equipment.
- Program Schedule: Accountable for timelyprogram delivery to run the rig(s). KPI: Full well program delivered 4 weeksbefore spud; sub-programs (Completions, Logging, etc.) issued 2 weeks beforecommencement.
- Change Management: Support operationalchanges or rescheduling under a proper Management of Change (MOC) process to ensurewell objectives are met.
Compliance, HSSE & Process Safety
- Process Safety: Ensure Wells Process Safetyprinciples are thoroughly implemented, identified, and strictly assured.
- HSSE: Serve as the focal point for HSSEmanagement with contractors and execute systematic evaluations of servicequality.
Contractor & Stakeholder Management
- Contract Quality Control: Maintain andcontrol the availability, quality, and performance of services and equipmentprovided under the various service contracts.
- Contract Holder Duties: Support contractmanagement as a Contract Holder in select cases, participating actively as amember of the contract management team.
- Contract Drafting: Assist in developingdetailed contracts that clearly prescribe technical expectations and contractordeliverables.
- Contractor Relations: Manage contractorservices in line with the contracting strategy; lead structured performance,planning, and deviation discussions.
- Cross-functional Alignment: Support andfoster collaborative relationships with subsurface, production, facilities,operations, and construction teams.
