Purpose:

Prepare cost estimates for projects to aid in bidding and determining the price of products and services.

Job Description

Responsible for the estimation of all costs of projects, including raw materials, labor, equipment, tools, and transportation.
Responsible for the collection, classification, and analysis of historical data.
May be required to read blueprints or architectural drawings to determine necessary resources for projects within budgetary constraints.
Helps determine necessary resources for projects based on cost estimates and budgetary constraints.
Perform bid sheet preparation (Excel), solicit subcontractor proposals, advertisements as needed, take-offs, attend pre-bid walks.
Identify qualified subcontractors/suppliers.
Review quotes for completeness with plans and specifications
Assist with timely completion of all client-required prequal packages
Review subcontractor proposals prior to contract issuance for complete work scopes.
Assist field personnel with estimating Change Orders, RFPs, and clarification of RFI’s.
Assist with the preparation of budgets and buy-outs
