Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of physical therapy principles and techniques, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping patients improve their mobility and overall quality of life. 

Responsibilities:

- Assist the Physical Therapist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients 

- Provides skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of a Physical Therapist

- Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and functional training

- Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed

- Educate patients and their families on proper home exercise programs and self-care techniques

- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment

- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to patient care

- Participate in continuing education and professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in the field

Requirements

Requirements:

- Current state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant

- Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

- Knowledge of electronic medical record systems

- Flexible schedule

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience working in an outpatient or inpatient physical therapy setting in long term care facility

- Knowledge of a variety of therapeutic modalities and techniques
