Pipefitters needed for a fabrication shop job in Baytown, TX starting August 31.
Job Length: 4-6 weeks
Hours: 50-70 hours/week
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure, cut, thread, groove, and bend pipe
- Lay out and fabricate piping systems based on drawings and specifications
- Assemble pipe spools, supports, and components in the shop
- Fit and align piping for welding and mechanical connections
- Inspect and verify fit-up, measurements, and quality of fabricated parts
- Read and interpret isometric drawings, spool sheets, and blueprints
- Follow all shop safety procedures and guidelines
Requirements
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of pipefitting experience (fabrication/shop experience preferred)
- Apprenticeship or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
- Knowledge of industry standards (ASME, ANSI, API)
- Ability to read blueprints and perform precise layout work
Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Comfortable working on your feet for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Must pass required drug/alcohol screening
