About the Position

The CNC Machinist is a core production role. You'll set up and run 2-axis and 3-axis CNC turning machines, hold tight tolerances, and own quality at the source. This isn't a button-pushing job, it requires a machinist who reads prints, makes confident setup decisions, and takes pride in every part that comes off the machine.

Responsibilities

Operate 2-axis and 3-axis CNC turning machines for daily production runs
Read and interpret technical blueprints and GD&T callouts
Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools
Perform first article and in-process inspections; identify and correct defects or out-of-tolerance conditions
De-burr and finish parts to meet quality standards
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Communicate proactively with production, quality, and engineering on setup status and quality concerns

What You Bring

3-5+ years of hands-on CNC lathe operation
Proficiency with 3-axis CNC turning machines
Skilled use of precision measuring tools, calipers, micrometers, bore gauges
Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and engineering drawings
Working knowledge of surface footage, feed rates, and feeds/speeds calculations
Experience with Haas CNC machinery (preferred)
Familiarity with AS9100 and ISO 9001 quality standards and first article / in-process inspection processes (preferred)
CNC milling experience (a plus)
