Position Overview:

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for a prestigious luxury private island in Madagascar. This role requires a highly guest-focused hospitality professional with exceptional leadership and service delivery skills. The ideal candidate will oversee front-of-house operations, drive service excellence, ensuring the property maintains its world-class standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all front-of-house operations, ensuring smooth daily functioning and guest satisfaction.
  

• Maintain and enhance service standards across all departments to deliver a seamless luxury experience.
  

• Host guests personally and ensure that every interaction reflects warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail.
  

• Provide strong leadership, mentoring, and guidance to teams, fostering a culture of service excellence.
  

• Support the General Manager with operational decision-making and strategic planning.
  

• Monitor and improve guest feedback systems, ensuring consistent quality delivery.
  

• Liaise with department heads to ensure cohesive and effective communication across the property.
  

• Oversee stock control, logistics, and cost management to maintain operational efficiency.
  

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a senior front-of-house or operations role within a luxury lodge, resort, or private island environment.
  

• Strong leadership skills with a passion for developing and mentoring teams.
  

• Excellent guest relations and communication abilities.
  

• Proven track record in delivering exceptional service in high-end hospitality settings.
  

• Flexible, hands-on approach with the ability to adapt to remote island living.
  

• Sound understanding of operational logistics and financial awareness.
