Primary Function: This position is primarily responsible for the general cleanliness of the athletic training room, hydrotherapy room, and weight room. General duties include, but are not limited to, general cleanliness of the athletic training room, hydrotherapy room, and weight room, along with opportunities to learn how to use modalities and other treatments.
Essential Functions:
- Athletic Training Room and Hydrotherapy Rooms: Wipe down counter tops, tables, and office desks; vacuum carpet in athletic training room and offices; Swifter mop tile floor; empty trashcans; straighten up room; wash and dry towels; empty and fill water bottles and coolers, as needed; empty any fill Game Ready machines for treatments; and empty and clean Whirlpool and mop in Hydrotherapy Rooms in the Fieldhouse and Gordon Lozier Athletic Center
- Weight Room: Clean weights and machines; organize and straighten weight room; mop tile area; and vacuum turf
Marginal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs other duties as requested.
Qualifications/Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
- Must possess strong attention to detail, good organizational skills with the ability to ensure accurate work.
- Must be able to maintain strict confidentiality regarding employee/student-related information; sign confidentiality statement
- Ability to work independently, but as part of team concept.
Working Conditions:
- Works in a loud environment.
- Constant bending, kneeling, crouching, walking, and lifting
- Required to work with cleaning chemicals on a regular basis
