Primary Functions: The Tutor is responsible for providing tutoring sessions via Zoom or in-person, to assist students in achieving academic success.
Essential Functions:
- Facilitate academic success by offering tutoring sessions to clarify course concepts, review class materials, discuss textbook content, and work through practice problems.
- Conduct tutoring sessions either in person or via Zoom, on a scheduled or as-needed basis.
- Assist with day-to-day tutoring operations while working independently under minimal supervision.
Marginal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs other duties as requested.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Must be able to demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of or received an “A” in one or more of the following courses related, but not limited to: Cyber Security, Data Science, Database Management, Analytics, Graphic Design, Java, C#, SQL, Python, Web Design, R-Programming.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to build strong relationships through clear and tactful communication.
- Sound judgment and the ability to resolve problems independently or seek managerial assistance as needed.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive student information.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and a commitment to student success.
Working Environment:
- Works in a normal office environment.
