Role Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic and technically inclined AV & Networking Interns to support our Audio-Visual (AV), Unified Communication (UC), and Networking projects.
The intern will work alongside experienced engineers and project teams on installation, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, documentation, and onsite support activities. This role provides hands-on exposure to enterprise AV systems, meeting-room technologies, structured cabling, and networking infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Audio-Visual (AV) & Collaboration Support
· Assist engineers with installation and commissioning of AV and collaboration solutions.
· Support installation of displays, projectors, video conferencing systems, cameras, microphones, speakers, touch controllers, and related AV equipment.
· Assist with meeting room and boardroom AV deployments.
· Support installation and configuration of video conferencing and collaboration solutions such as Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, and similar platforms.
· Assist in equipment mounting, rack installation, cable routing, dressing, labelling, and termination.
· Support HDMI, USB, CAT6/CAT6A, audio, control, and other AV cabling activities.
· Perform basic testing of displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, and connectivity.
· Assist senior engineers during system testing, troubleshooting, commissioning, and customer handover.
· Support preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting of installed AV systems.
Networking Support
· Assist with installation and basic configuration of network switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls, and related network equipment.
· Support rack mounting, patch-panel connectivity, network cabling, patching, labelling, and cable management.
· Assist with LAN/WAN connectivity testing and basic troubleshooting.
· Perform basic network checks using tools and commands such as Ping, Traceroute, IPConfig/IFConfig, and other diagnostic utilities.
· Support IP addressing, VLAN configuration, switch-port configuration, and basic network connectivity under the guidance of senior engineers.
· Assist with Wi-Fi access point installation and connectivity validation.
· Support physical network infrastructure audits and documentation.
Project & Field Support
· Travel to customer/project locations as required for installation and support activities.
· Work closely with senior AV and Network engineers during project implementation.
· Assist in material verification and equipment inventory at project sites.
· Maintain installation checklists, device details, serial numbers, IP details, cable schedules, and project documentation.
· Capture before-and-after photographs and maintain appropriate installation records.
· Coordinate with internal project teams and customer representatives during onsite activities.
· Follow project timelines and provide regular status updates to the reporting manager.
· Follow workplace, electrical, ladder, cabling, and equipment-handling safety practices.
Requirements
Technical Skills – Preferred
Candidates should have basic understanding or academic knowledge of:
Networking
· TCP/IP fundamentals
· LAN/WAN concepts
· IP addressing and subnetting
· DHCP and DNS
· VLAN concepts
· Switches and routers
· Wi-Fi fundamentals
· Ethernet and structured cabling
· Basic network troubleshooting
Audio Visual
· Basic AV signal flow
· HDMI, USB and Ethernet connectivity
· Displays, projectors and LED screens
· Cameras, microphones and speakers
· Video conferencing concepts
· Microsoft Teams / Zoom collaboration platforms
· AV and network rack components
· Basic cable termination and testing
Prior hands-on experience is not mandatory. Training and guidance will be provided.
Educational Qualification
· Diploma / BE / B.Tech / BCA / B.Sc. in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Information Technology, Networking, Telecommunications, or related technical discipline.
· Final-year students and recent graduates may apply.
· Candidates with CCNA/networking fundamentals or AV-related training/certifications will have an advantage.
