This person will oversee procurement, inventorymanagement, consumables handling, logistics, delivery system, packaging, andtracking across multiple veterinary hospital branches. The ‘sphere of work’ involves managing theonline pet shop, ensuring smooth supply chain operations, optimizing costs, andmaintaining adequate stock levels.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory & Stock Management:Ensure stock is ordered promptly and efficiently. Oversee stock levels acrossplatforms and maintain reliable supply chain processes.
Supplier Relations: Place andcoordinate supplier orders to ensure fast dispatch of high-demand products.Negotiate pricing and contract terms with suppliers and freight companies.
Logistics Coordination: Efficientlybook and organize domestic and international freight, ensuring cost-effectiveshipping methods and timely deliveries. Track shipments, ensure on-timearrivals, and follow up on any delivery delays.
Cost Optimization: Audit and optimizelogistics processes to reduce costs. Research and implement Free TradeAgreements to minimize customs and duties charges. Identify opportunities forcost savings by sourcing new shipping methods and freight forwarders.
Pricing & Product Management: Setcompetitive prices for new items and restocks. Monitor freight quotes vs actualinvoiced amounts and manage vendor audits to ensure competitive purchasing.
Team Leadership & Communication:Lead and develop the Purchasing & Buying team. Provide training, resolveprocurement and logistics issues, and maintain high communication standardsacross all departments.
Report & Data Management: Provideweekly updates on stock availability, large quantity stocked items, and slowsellers. Present financial, purchasing, and inventory reports from Shopify andXero to management as requested.
Implement Warehouse Management System:Take charge of implementing a new warehouse management system (WMS) tostreamline operations, improve inventory accuracy, and increase warehouseefficiency. Oversee the integration of barcode and scanner software intocurrent operations to optimize tracking and management.
Process Improvement: Continuouslyevaluate existing systems and suggest improvements that will increase operationalefficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall logistics and inventorymanagement processes.

Requirements

Essential

· Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field

· 3-5 years of experience in procurement, inventory management, or supply chain operations.

· Prior experience in the veterinary, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry is a plus.

· Drive and motivate team members capabilities and performance.

· Provide leadership and strategic direction to direct and indirect employees

· Excellent communication and negotiation skills

· Extensive experience in Planning or Supply/Inventory Management

· Strong leadership skills with expertise in resource planning

Desirable

Proficiency in inventory management software and procurement tools.
