JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS
The College of ISTāsĀ Office of Learning DesignĀ has openings for a part-time Production Specialist, with a focus on accessibility. This position will primarily focus on applying accessibility standards for courses that are part of the IST's undergraduate and graduate degree programs.Ā This is an in-person position based at University Park.āÆResumes and cover letters areĀ requiredĀ and must beĀ submittedĀ as .docxĀ when applying for theĀ position.Ā Successful candidates mustĀ possessĀ a strong attention to detail, ability to manage multiple projects, and adhere to outlined steps in a detailed process.Ā

Primary ResponsibilitiesĀ
Edit Canvas courses for accessibility.Ā
MakeĀ Word,Ā PowerPoint,Ā andĀ PDFĀ files accessible.
CreateĀ alt-text and long descriptions for images.
CaptionĀ andĀ transcribeĀ videos.
OrganizeĀ both working and completed projectĀ files.

Additional Duties (as assigned)Ā
MaintainĀ accessibility compliance for courses/Ā webpages.Ā
AssistĀ inĀ creating and revisingĀ CanvasĀ course content.Ā
Maintain and updateĀ webĀ pages.Ā
Conduct course quality assuranceĀ checks.Ā
MaintainĀ office records and documentation.Ā
Support otherĀ related projects as needed.Ā
Required Skills and KnowledgeĀ
Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, andĀ problem-solvingĀ skills.Ā
Willingness to learnĀ new things, especially aboutĀ accessibility.Ā
Familiarity with: Microsoft 365, Canvas, Kaltura, and the concept of digital accessibility.Ā
Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions without skipping steps.Ā

Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 accessibility standards.Ā

Position Details
Hours: 10-18 hours/week during Fall 2026Ā (withĀ possible extensionĀ into 2027).Ā
May be eligible for internship credit, depending on program requirements.Ā
Location: University Park campus (this is not a full remote position).Ā
