An established audiologist-owned private practice in NorthernMichigan is seeking an Audiologist to support its continued growth. TheAudiologist will work across the practice’s Cheboygan and Harbor Springslocations.

The practice provides comprehensive hearing healthcare foradult and pediatric patients, including diagnostic evaluations, hearing aids,cochlear implants, cerumen management, and VA services.

This opportunity is well suited for an Audiologist who enjoysa broad scope of private practice audiology. There is also an opportunity forsomeone with an interest in tinnitus management or auditory processingdisorders (APD) to help expand these services within the practice.

Scope of Practice& Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive hearing evaluations, includingpure-tone and bone-conduction audiometry, word recognition testing, QuickSIN,and immittance testing
  • Conduct cochlear implant candidacy evaluations,activations, and mapping
  • Perform hearing aid evaluations and recommendamplification solutions tailored to individual patient needs
  • Select, fit, program, and verify hearing aids using RealEar Measurements (REM)
  • Conduct comprehensive tinnitus assessments and provideappropriate treatment recommendations
  • Perform cerumen management
  • Provide VA C&P examinations and hearing healthcare toVA Community Care patients
  • Educate patients and families regarding hearing loss,amplification, tinnitus, communication strategies, and hearing conservation
  • Identify patients who require medical intervention andcoordinate referrals with physicians, ENTs, and other healthcare providers

Requirements

  • Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree
  • Michigan Audiologist license or eligibility for licensure
  • Strong diagnostic and hearing aid skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and patientcounseling skills
  • Recent graduates comfortable practicing independently areencouraged to apply
