The Foundation Technician performs maintenance functions in technical, construction, and laboratory environments using Promera approved methods. What You’ll Work On Physically vacuum, sweep, mop, scrub, clean and chemically treat physical surfaces within a technical or construction work environment. Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions; mix cleaning solutions according to specifications. Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors. Clean windows, glass partitions, mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners. Steam clean or shampoo carpets. Dust furniture, walls, machines, or equipment. Move heavy furniture, equipment, or supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks. Responsible to use materials and equipment in a safe manner under the direction of senior technicians and supervisors. Completes work assignments efficiently, and professionally to Promera's and the customer's expectations. Assists fellow crew members in completion of assigned tasks. Responsible to follow all job requirements and safety rules. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods of time. The employee is frequently required to stoop, bend, kneel, climb, reach, twist, grasp, and make repetitive hand movements in the performance of daily duties. At times, employee is required to: work from ladders or vertical lifts; to lift or carry items weighing up to 50 lbs, push or pull heavy rolling loads; to operate assigned equipment and vehicles; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. Specific vision requirements include the ability to see at close range, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. At times, may require more than 40 hours per week to perform the essential duties of the position. Work Environment The position typically operates in a variety of commercial and industrial environments. The noise level is usually moderate. This position may regularly use the following: vacuum cleaners, towels, cleaning agents, floor buffer machines, ladders, flat mop systems, pullers, cover-all PPE, tacky rollers, specialty chemicals, and scissor lifts. The position is potentially exposed to moderate amounts of dust, grease, fumes, noxious odors, gases, mechanical and electrical hazards, and slippery floor surfaces Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently (grade 5 level), required Ariel & Scissor Lift certification required Ladder certification required.
