Janitorial Supervisor

JOB SUMMARY:

The Janitorial Supervisor position presents an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role in our company to work with a cross-functional team throughout our facilities. Continuously improving programs, training, and engagement with our Janitorial/Laundry team members. The Janitorial Supervisor oversees and coordinates activities with individuals involved in the Janitorial process in our facility. Investing in our team members’ development on all levels through relevant job training, empowerment, and engagement as well as continuously improving our facilities and equipment through research and technology to support our expanding needs. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned. 

Janitorial leadership positions will oversee janitorial team members across all Bell & Evans facilities. The supervisor will train, coach, and cover disciplinary actions with team members. Ability to follow and enforce Company policies, and procedures and enforce safe working practices. Takes a proactive approach to problem-solving when issues arise. Ensure team members have the proper tools needed to perform job duties safely and efficiently. Creates a positive workplace environment. Observing the department to ensure all tasks are completed up to the Bell and Evans standards.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Communication-Collaboration (production to operations)- a collaboration among cross-functional plant teams (Plant 1-Plant 2-Plant 3-Wellness Center) in issue resolution.
• Promotes excellent company relations in maintaining a high level of team morale. 
• Effectively communicate with the team members in Daily Huddles for team engagement.
• Take a proactive approach to safeguarding a safe working environment and performing regular safety training, daily stretches with the team and monitoring to ensure team members are safe.
• Demonstrated ability to efficiently select, train, and manage staff to fulfill department objectives.
• Performance objectives setting goals, developing processes, and providing guidance and support through their professional journey.
• Development and Training of Staff
• Implementation of SSOP’s and KPI’s.
• Support the team in ensuring cleanliness standards meet plant requirements.
• Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills to manage the situation(s) to make versed decisions based on product safety and quality.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• Associate degree or a combination of three to five years as Supervisor of Sanitation and or Janitorial required. 
• Experience in direct supervision preferred.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). SafetyChain, Smartsheet, Teams, Power PBI.
