Global Solutions Network (GSN), a federal government contracting firm, presents this long-term position supporting GSN's customer at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). This position provides a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Technical Requirements:

  • The Contractor provides specialized support across OITE’s core activities, including: 
    • Planning, developing, and delivering educational programs in collaboration with OITE staff, including curriculum design, speaker coordination, and event execution 
    • Supporting major OITE events (e.g., poster days, workshops, symposia) 
    • Preparing reports, analyzing participation data, and compiling feedback upon request 
    • Maintaining trainee and staff records  
    • Executing IRTA appointment and maintenance actions in the Fellow Personnel System (FPS) 
    • Coordinating with Administrative Officers to obtain required approvals 
    • Providing travel and logistical support, including GovTrip coordination and documentation 

 

Specific Qualifications:

  • All support positions require a minimum of a B.A. or B.S. degree.
  • BS required; PhD preferred; biomedical workforce experience required 
  • Able to effectively communicate, verbally and in writing.
  • Will require knowledge of relevant NIH policies and award terms and conditions.
  • Understanding of NIH, its organization, and culture preferred.
  • Knowledge of NIH organizational travel (CGE) and personnel (FPS) systems is highly desired.

 

Skills

  • Strong organizational skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Must be extremely reliable and adaptable with strong time-management skills; ability to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities with minimum supervision.
  • Demonstrates good judgment, particularly when managing confidential information.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to be professional, clear, and accurate both verbally and in writing
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
